USAGE OF PHYTODRUGS IN COMPLEX THERAPY IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE II DIABETES

Objective: Study of the effectiveness of the use of phytopreparations in the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus.
Methods: The patients underwent a clinical medical examination with a detailed study of complaints and anamnesis, laboratory examinations (blood sugar level). The mean blood sugar level of the patients was 9.2 mmol/l or higher, despite the fact that they were taking antidiabetic drugs. In addition to hypoglycemic therapy, patients were recommended to take a complex of hypoglycemic phytopreparations
Results: It was found that the blood sugar level in patients taking a complex of hypoglycemic phytopreparations was 6.9 mmol / l and below. In the control group, the sugar level was 8.8 mmol/l. In patients taking hypoglycemic herbal remedies, hypoglycemic cases of complaints such as excessive greed, intense hunger, blurred vision, slow wound healing and recurrent infections, detection of sharp sensations in the joints, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet have been identified.
Conclusions. Our results confirm that long-term use of phytopreparations helps to stabilize the course of diabetes mellitus, reduce the dose of antidiabetic drugs, improve the general well-being of patients, reduce hyperglycemia. In patients with diabetes, medicinal plants are used in combination with diet, insulin therapy, dosed physical activity, which helps to reduce the daily need for insulin or hypoglycemic drugs.
