IMPROVEMENT OF THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC CATARRHAL GINGIVITIS IN PATHOLOGY OF THE HEPATOBILIARY SYSTEM

Research aim: improving the treatment of chronic catarrhal gingivitis against the background of chronic calculous cholecystitis.
Materials and methods. The study was conducted for the period from 2017 to 2018 at the Department of Hospital Therapeutic Dentistry of the Tashkent State Dental Institute in 97 patients with chronic catarrhal gingivitis of varying severity against the background of chronic cholecystitis. Patients were divided into 3 randomized groups according to age and gender: 1 - into the main group (61 persons); 2-comparison group (36 persons); 3-control group - (20 healthy individuals). Patients of the main group and the comparison group were divided into 3 subgroups according to the severity of catarrhal gingivitis.
Conclusion:
- Relief of the inflammatory process in periodontal tissues in patients of the main group occurs on average 5.7 ± 0.13 days after the start of rehabilitation measures, while in the comparison group - 10–12 days.
- During irrigation of the gums with the WaterpikWP and Parodontax apparatus, high clinic results were obtained, in which anti-inflammatory efficacy was determined as a reduction in the PMA index. Thus, the PMA value decreased from 22.16 ± 1.64% to 11.96 ± 0.05%, the OHI-s index decreased from 2.31 ± 0.22 to 0.91 ± 0.27; SBI 2.14±0.11 decreased and amounted to 1.28±0.11.
