Mandibular fractures occupy one of the leading positions in the structure of maxillofacial trauma, which is associated with the anatomical and functional characteristics of this bone as well as contemporary social conditions. Rehabilitation of patients after such injuries is a multistage process that includes not only surgical reconstruction but also functional, physiotherapeutic, and psychosocial support. The article analyzes the main etiological factors of trauma, biomechanical features of the mandible, and modern osteosynthesis approaches that determine the effectiveness of the recovery period. The possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment, the application of endoscopic and digital technologies, as well as the use of bioresorbable osteosynthesis systems are discussed. It is shown that a comprehensive and personalized approach is a key condition for full functional recovery and improvement of patients’ quality of life.
