ASPECTS OF LAPAROSCOPIC HERNIOPLASTY FOR VENTRAL HERNIAS

The study analyzes the results of laparoscopic hernioplasty for ventral hernias. A comparative analysis of 228 patients operated on in 2011–2024 was conducted. Open hernioplasty (comparison group, 106 patients) was accompanied by greater trauma and complication rate. The laparoscopic technique (main group, 122 patients) reduced pain, accelerated rehabilitation, and reduced the risk of relapse. The results confirm the advantages of laparoscopic hernioplasty, which provides less trauma and better long-term outcomes.
