IMPROVEMENT OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH THYROID NODULES

The article presents the results of a study aimed at optimizing the surgical treatment of benign nodular diseases of the thyroid gland. A differential diagnostic algorithm has been developed and implemented, including pre- and intraoperative diagnostic methods, such as ultrasound, fine-needle aspiration biopsy, and laser Doppler flowmetry. The use of these methods has improved the accuracy of determining the volume of surgical intervention, reduced the incidence of postoperative complications, and improved the quality of life of patients. For the first time, methods for preventing the autoimmune process in the preserved thyroid tissue and intraoperative diathermoablation of nodes have been proposed.
