MODERN ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIES IN THE ASSESSMENT OF CEREBRAL BLOOD FLOW IN ATHEROSCLEROSIS OF THE CAROTID ARTERIES
Keywords:

Among the diagnostic methods used in the assessment of cerebral blood flow, ultrasound diagnostics occupies a leading place and is an adequate method for assessing arterial and venous hemodynamics. Assessment of the total cerebral blood flow can be an important additional source of information in the diagnosis of patients with carotid atherosclerosis, identification of patients more prone to cerebral ischemia, prevention and treatment. In this regard, the improvement of approaches to the assessment of total cerebral blood flow using innovative ultrasound diagnostic technologies is of undoubted scientific and practical interest.
