THE IMPACT OF FERTILITY PRESERVATION PROGRAMS ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF WOMEN WITH ONCOLOGICAL DISEASES
Keywords:
cancer, fertility preservation, prognosis, quality of lifeAbstract
This study examines the impact of fertility preservation programs on the quality of life of women with oncological diseases. The study included 140 patients divided into two groups: the primary group (75 women who underwent fertility preservation programs) and the control group (65 women not participating in such programs). Quality of life was assessed using the FertiQOL questionnaire, which consists of four domains: emotional, social, physical, and mental well-being. The results showed that women in the primary group had significantly higher scores in all areas of quality of life compared to the control group (p < 0.001). Thus, fertility preservation programs positively affect the quality of life of these patients, highlighting the need for their implementation in a comprehensive approach to the treatment of cancer patients.
