According to WHO, giardiasis affects approximately 20–25% of children in the world. Clinical manifestations of giardiasis are varied, but lesions of the gastrointestinal tract prevail, which is associated with the localization of parasites in the duodenum and jejunum. Damage to the small intestine is characterized by constant moderate pain in the navel, bloating, loose stools 3 to 10 times a day, cramping abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. We studied patients with latent, subclinical and clinical forms of giardiasis. We divided latent, subclinical and clinical forms of giardiasis. Children with a latent form of the disease had no complaints. In subclinical and clinical forms of giardiasis, abdominal pain, intestinal and gastric dyspepsia syndrome were observed. For giardiasis, children are prescribed dietary and drug therapy.
