DIFFERENTIATED SURGICAL TACTICS IN ACUTE ADHESIVE SMALL INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION
Keywords:
Acute adhesive small intestinal obstruction, surgical tacticsAbstract
The study is based on the investigation of data on 359 people who had tumours of the gastrointestinal tract. For such tumours, laparoscopic surgeries have several advantages over traditional surgical techniques because of their less invasiveness. Nevertheless, performing this procedure in adhesions and dilated loops of the small intestine entails some risks, such as technical difficulties and the possibility of intraoperative complications. The postoperative complication rate and mortality rate decreased to 10.0% and 0.83%, respectively, due to improved methodology and better definition of the indications for laparoscopic surgery. Outcomes for patients with gastrointestinal tumours improved significantly with the use of advanced diagnostic techniques, surgical intervention and postoperative care. The overall mortality rate was 4.5% and postoperative complications were 6.7%.
