This article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of dermatological and parasitic diseases in rabbits - one of the urgent problems in veterinary practice, especially among owners of decorative and breeding animals. Particular attention is paid to the etiology of skin lesions, clinical manifestations, diagnostics and modern treatment protocols. The study examines the characteristic symptoms of skin diseases caused by both parasitic invasions (for example, sarcoptosis, cheyletiellosis, psoroptosis) and secondary infectious complications. The author provides a classification of skin pathologies in rabbits and identifies the most common forms accompanied by itching, redness, flaking, hair loss and the appearance of ulcerative lesions. A separate section of the article is devoted to the assessment of the clinical efficacy of various pharmacological drugs used in the treatment of skin diseases. Antihistamines, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agents, as well as inexpensive and accessible drugs that are widely used in veterinary practice are considered as objects of study. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of drug treatment allows us to draw conclusions about the advisability of using complex therapy, taking into account the stage of the disease and the general condition of the animal. Based on clinical observations, the author emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis, strict adherence to hygiene standards and systematic preventive measures, including sanitary treatment of premises, quarantine of new animals and regular inspection of the livestock. It has been established that these measures not only help alleviate the course of the disease, but also significantly reduce the risk of relapse. In conclusion, it is emphasized that success in the fight against dermatitis and parasitic skin diseases in rabbits is achieved only with a comprehensive veterinary approach, including timely detection, competent treatment and sustainable prevention. The materials presented in the article can be useful for both practicing veterinarians and rabbit owners interested in maintaining a high level of health and well-being of animals.
