NATIONAL AND CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MODAL CATEGORY (ANALYSIS OF FRENCH AND UZBEK FAIRY TALES)

This article deals with "the category of modality", which has a universal character in linguistics as an important functional aspect of communication and is important for understanding the essence of language, and its expression in one of the oldest and most popular genres of folklore "fairy tale". In the examples of two different languages - French and Uzbek, national-cultural features of fairy tales are analyzed.
