OPINIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS ON THE STUDY OF ERGATIVE VERBS

In this article is discussed about the considerations of the study of ergative verbs and at the same time it is enriched with examples from the research of scholars related to the entry of this lexeme into linguistics. If we look at the history of ergative verbs, it turns out that in grammar and morphology, this concept can be used as a verb, in which the same noun phrase acts as a direct object when the verb is intransitive. In general, ergative verbs indicate a change of state, position, or action. The ergative verb is the ergative grammatical case, which defines a noun phrase as the subject of a transitive verb.
