THE USAGE OF PROPER NOUNS IN UZBEK CHILDREN’S SONGS

Abstract

This article examines the features of the use of proper nouns in Uzbek children’s play songs. The functional roles of proper nouns, their presentation in a cultural and spiritual context, and their semantic load are studied. Children’s songs play an important role in the language development, broadening of the worldview, and learning of cultural heritage of children. Through proper nouns, children become acquainted with people, places, things, and concepts. The article analyzes the impact of proper nouns such as apricot (o‘rik), Paxtaoy, Andijan, Bukhara, Zumrad on children through songs. It is shown that proper nouns are important in shaping feelings of love for the homeland, concepts of good and evil in children. Songs help children increase their vocabulary, learn correct pronunciation, and become literate in the future. This article reveals the importance of Uzbek children's play songs in the development of children through proper nouns.
