Abstract

Throughout history, the thesaurus has evolved to meet the changing needs of language users. They played an important role in helping to increase vocabulary, semantic analysis and information retrieval. From ancient scholars to digital databases, thesauruses continue to play an important role in understanding the semantic relationships between words and expanding the possibilities of language.
