This article the development of Uzbek music, the main stages in the development of folk music and performance. The article discusses folk song creative, the connection of music with the everyday life and way of the people, and
Identifies four main local groups in the musical heritage. Attention is paid to folk genres and musical performers, and varieties of song genres are considered.
Particular attention in the article is paid to the genre of dastan, its varieties and a special manner of performance.
