LINGUOCULTURAL FEATURES OF THE KHORAZMI CHILDREN'S FOLK DANCE CYCLE "MELON SEASON"

Abstract

Uzbek children's folk dances, ancient as the past of the people, eternal as their values and cultural traditions, are a wonderful and unique example of folk art. From time immemorial, unique cultural masterpieces created by humanity are embodied in the folk art of every nation. "Sayil" generally refers to various gatherings associated with grandiose spectacles. In primitive times, ceremonies held primarily to celebrate the exchange of large spoils and seasons evolved into public holidays over time. They were organized in open areas and lasted from three days to a week, sometimes even a month. By the time of the Khans, seasonal holiday performances had become more cultural and were held in market squares and parks outside the city. Kitchens, teahouses, bakeries were built at the picnic sites, and various games and performances were organized. One of the most popular ideas associated with the term “sail” in Khorezm is “Kovun sayli”. This article examines the artistic, aesthetic and ethnographic characteristics of children's folklore dance series “Melon - Melon Game” and “Melon Sayli”, which are unique examples of Khorezm folk art.
