THE EPITOME "EYE" IN FOLK ART

The image of the eye in folklore is mentioned in the article as well as comparison of works of the representatives of Uzbek classical literature and folk art was fulfilled. In the example of Lutfi's and Navoi's gazels the essense of the content of folk sayings about eye is highlighted as well as the image of the eye is emphasized by the arts. Examples of of folk art as proverbs, riddles,songs, tales,epic poems and others related to "Eyes" are also involved in the analysis. In folk proverbs associated with eye expression positive interpretation which comes side by side with the negative ones is also reflected in the analysis. In the following work the metaphor Eye has found its solution in specific and appropriate way.
