The article describes the legal framework for the activities of mass media in the country, the processes associated with the coverage of emergencies in the media. The achievements and shortcomings in the coverage of emergencies by the media operating in the country today have been analyzed. At the same time, the mass media of our country described the achievements and ongoing activities related to the coverage of this topic during the COVID-19 pandemic.
