ANALYSIS OF SPIRITUAL AND CULTURAL ISSUES IN HESSE'S WORKS (AS AN EXAMPLE BY THE NOVEL “STEPPENWOLF”)

Abstract

In the article, the author describes the life and work of Hermann Hesse, the analysis of spiritual and cultural issues in his work in artistic images. The famous German writer has a high position in world literature with his works. In The “Steppenwolf”, Hermann Hesse explores the problems of the spiritual and cultural crisis of the youth of that time through various figurative images and seeks solutions. Music and its factor played an important role in his philosophy. He expressed the essence of the work, two different views that complement each other, with philosophical thoughts using musical motives and harmony. He proves that spirituality and culture are both healing, healing, and healing for man by depicting and describing the interdependence of different music.
