The article analyses the terms and examines the specifics of the technology of teaching terms in agrarian university, their morphology, the specifics of translation. The author pays special attention to the methods of teaching terminology in foreign language classes at an agricultural university. Features of the formation in the lessons of the English language of the terminology of the agrarian sphere, the main sources of the formation of which are recognized, on the one hand, primordial elements, on the other hand, foreign language borrowings.
