LITERARY THEORY OF HONORE DE BALZAC

In the article we consider the writer's worldview in development, we find that Balzac of the 20s was characterized by significant pro-bourgeois illusions, that at that time anti-bourgeois sentiments were overlaid in him by the anti-feudal orientation of his views. On the other hand, the selection of the third period in the creative development of Balzac makes it clear that the pro-noble illusions of Balzac, characteristic of the 30s, are also not among the permanent attributes of the writer, that since the end of the 30s they are largely overcome by criticism directed against large owners in general.
