Abstract

Today, the customs of the peoples of the world are rooted in a long history. These customs are reflected in proverbs and sayings that are folklore and spiritual heritage of peoples. Proverbs and sayings reflecting the wisdom of the people began to be studied in paremiology, a branch og linguistics, in the late XX and early XXI centuries. This article also analyzes paremiologically some proverbs and sayings about the spiritual wealth of the French people. Their lexical, morphological and syntactic changes were studied from a paremiological point of view.
