The article analyzes the essence, principles and basic concepts of linguocultrology and its role in enhancing students’ linguocultural competence. The author emphasizes that culture is a is a multidimensional phenomenon, a complex process with a communicative nature. Thanks to the linguocultural approach, language learners learn not only the language but also the traditions and customs of the people whose language is being studied.
