SEMANTIC FEATURES OF THE CONCEPT OF “LOVE-MUHABBAT” IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract

As is known, love is one of the concepts related to the emotional state and inner experiences of a person's life. Regardless of a person's place of residence, nationality, religious position and origin, this concept means expressing a person's experiences arising from their relationship to real things and events, people and themselves. This article aims to study the semantic characteristics of the concept of “love-muhabbat” in English and Uzbek by analyzing its linguistic expressions, cultural changes, etymological origins and psychological foundations. Through a comprehensive review of the existing literature and a qualitative analysis of language use, this study explores and discusses the concepts of how the concept of “love-muhabbat” is verbally, conceptualized, semantic space, and how it is expressed in different contexts in English and Uzbek.
