SEMANTICS OF INCHOATIVE VERBS IN ENGLISH

Semantic categories, described as conceptual universals in different languages, are increasingly becoming the object of research of linguists. Today, researchers focus on the status of semantic categories by analyzing the structure of the languages being compared and, in particular, specific linguistic material. Inchoative verbs indicate the initial method of verbal action. Therefore, in this article, we will introduce some opinions about the semantics of inchoative verbs in English.
