THE EXPRESSION IN CHINESE OF THE FORM OF A LONG-AGO TIME, FORMED IN MODERN UZBEK WITH THE HELP OF THE PARTICIPLE AFFIX –GAN

In modern Uzbek, the participle affix -gan exists and is considered one of the most controversial topics; it performs various syntactic functions. In particular, it forms the long past tense, the recent past tense, and in some cases the present and future tenses. This article provides a comparative analysis of the expression of the meaning of the long-past tense, formed in the modern Uzbek language using the participle affix -gan with the expression of this temporal meaning in Chinese. Based on the various examples given, the author highlights the peculiarities of reflecting the meaning of this affix in the Chinese language, identifies similarities and differences in the expression of this grammatical category in two languages.
