So‘nggi yillarda mamlakatimizda suv resurslaridan samarali foydalanish asosida sug‘oriladigan maydonlardan olinadigan hosil miqdorini oshirish va sifatini yaxshilash orqali mamlakat aholisi turmush darajasini yuqori pog‘onalarga ko‘tarish borasida samarali ishlar amalga oshirilmoqda. Qishloq xo‘jaligi ishlab chiqarishini rivojlantirish va barqarorligini ta’minlashning eng istiqbolli yo‘nalishlaridan biri bu ekinlarini sug‘orish uchun tomchilatib sug‘orish tizimlarini qo‘llashdir.
