This article discusses the territorial distribution of the population depending on the location and structure of the national economy and, conversely, the direct impact of the location of the population, in turn, on the development and location of the economy. Issues such as cartographic methods of population mapping and their analysis, their full development and the creation of an electronic population map using modern computer programs were examined, which allows us to analyze the increase in production efficiency in the field of cartography.
