VEGETATION CHANGE DETECTION USING REMOTE SENSING (NDVI) – A CASE STUDY OF URTA CHIRCHIK DISTRICT

In this paper, the state of vegetation in the district was studied by analyzing satellite imagery based on normalized difference (NDVI).
A multi-spectral remote sensing data technique was used to determine NDVI-vegetation index, land cover, vegetation, water bodies, open space, shrublands, hills, agricultural area and gardens. The vegetation index NDVI and “Landsat 4-5 TM C2 L2” satellite imagery were used for land cover classification.
It serves as a basis for decision-making and to improve the situation in the district and solve environmental problems. In addition, Vegetation Analysis allows to identify various problems such as prediction of unfortunate natural disasters, humanitarian aid, damage assessment, identification of pest-infested land areas, as well as equal amount of water to plants during irrigation.
According to the results of the research, it can be observed that in Urta Chirchik district of Tashkent region, between 1993 and 2020, the level of greenness decreased and the land of the population point increased.
