Abstract

In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the role of the immune system in the pathogenesis of traumatic brain injury. Classical ideas about the immunopathological significance of immune reactions, such as immunodeficiency after secondary injury, the development of autoimmune reactions to neuroantigens, and the induction of neurodegeneration, which complicates the process of injury, have changed ideas about the immunosuppressive and reparative effects of immunity in the body. .
