Abstract

This article presents a new method for fixing a free gingival soft tissue autograft using a transparent polymer plate in combination with microscrews during vestibuloplasty in implant patients. The relevance of this study stems from the need to improve graft stability, evenly distribute compressive pressure, and reduce surgical time while increasing the width of keratinized gingiva. An analysis of existing soft tissue augmentation methods was conducted, including classical suture fixation of free gingival grafts, the use of connective tissue grafts, collagen matrices, and alternative fixation methods. It was found that existing techniques have several limitations related to insufficient graft stability, lack of uniform compression, and technical complexity. The proposed method is based on the use of a transparent polymer plate serving as a compression element, a template for graft collection, and a template for positioning microscrews.
