The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of millions of people worldwide. Although its impact on the upper respiratory tract and lungs has been widely studied, the exact clinical and diagnostic features of airway inflammation in patients with diabetes mellitus are not fully understood. Therefore, this article aims to shed light on this issue. The article is devoted to the analysis of the clinical course and diagnostic features of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus infected with COVID-19.
