THE EFFECT OF HORMONAL CHANGES ON THE STATE OF THE ORAL CAVITY IN WOMEN WHO ARE PLANNING A PREGNANCY

This article explores the effects of hormonal changes on oral health in women of reproductive age preparing for pregnancy. Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels can significantly affect the oral mucosa, contributing to inflammation, gingival overgrowth, and mucosal atrophy. The article reviews hormone-dependent oral pathologies, their clinical manifestations, and modern approaches to diagnosis and prevention in the preconception period.
