INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PARTIAL ADENTIA, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE FUNCTIONAL STATE OF THE CNS

Partial adentia is one of the most common dental pathologies, significantly affecting the function of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Disorders in occlusion and articulation during tooth loss can contribute to the development of CNS dysfunction, which is accompanied by pain syndrome, limited jaw mobility, and clicking in the joint. The purpose of this study was to substantiate and implement an integrative approach to the diagnosis and treatment of partial adentia, taking into account the condition of the TMJ. The study included 80 patients with partial tooth loss. All patients underwent clinical and functional assessment of the CNS, orthopantomography, CLCT, and digital modeling. The obtained data allowed for the formation of individual treatment strategies using removable and non-removable structures with pre-stabilization of the joint using occlusal caps. As a result, a significant reduction in the symptoms of CHPVC dysfunction and an improvement in chewing efficiency were noted. An integrative approach allows for improving the quality of orthopedic treatment by comprehensively assessing and correcting the function of the CNS.
