GENDER APPROACH TO THE TREATMEN AND MANAGEMENT OF SYMPTOMATIC EPILEPSY IN THE ELDERLY

People consider that epilepsy spread widely among young people and adolescent, in fact the incidence is higher in the elderly. It occurs as the consequences of circulatory disorders in the brain, brain tumors, neurodegenerative diseases and not only the disease itself, but also the medicines that taken lead to changes in the reproductive system. It has a serious psychological effect on the course of the disease in patients. In view of the above, it is important to study the course of epilepsy in the elderly. This article provides a brief overview of the literature and articles on the specifics of epilepsy in the elderly, ways to differentiate it , and ideas to reduce the harmful effects of the disease and drugs on the reproductive system.
AIM: To study the specifics, course and treatment of symptomatic epilepsy in the elderly.
