Abstract

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases characterized by the progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the brain's substantia nigra. Traditionally, the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease was based on the identification of classical motor symptoms - resting tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability. However, modern studies show that the pathological process in PD begins long before the manifestation of motor disorders, passing through the prodromal and early stages of the disease.
