PECULIARITIES OF DIAGNOSTICS OF NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH EPILEPSY

Modern approaches to the diagnosis of neurological diseases in pregnant women with epilepsy are considered in the article. Limitations of the use of neuroimaging methods in pregnancy, peculiarities of interpretation of electroencephalographic data, the significance of therapeutic drug monitoring of antiepileptic drugs are analyzed. Algorithms for differential diagnosis of epilepsy and conditions mimicking epileptic seizures in pregnant women are described. An interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of comorbid neurological disorders in this category of patients with emphasis on safety and informativeness of diagnostic methods is discussed.
