Мазкур илмий ишда турли географик ҳудудларда бош мия инсультларининг эпидемиологияси, ўлим ва леталлик кўрсаткичларининг таҳлили ўрганилади. Турли мамлакатлар ва ҳудудларда инсультнинг структураси, бемор ёшига, жинсга, ҳаёт тарзига ва тиббий хизматлардан фойдаланиш даражасига боғлиқ ҳолда фарқ қилади. Мазкур тадқиқотнинг мақсади бош мия инсультларининг эпидемиологиясини аниқлаш, бу касалликнинг тарқалишини камайтириш ва инсультдан ўлимни олдини олиш учун самарали профилактик чораларни ишлаб чиқишга қаратилган тавсиялар ишлаб чиқишдир.
